Frontrunners is a non-profit organization.
The only requirement for membership is the payment of dues and the completion of the membership application form. Dues are $20 per year which covers the organization's expenses (Road Runners Club of America membership, newsletters, mailings, postage, and other operating expenses). Besides the health benefits of running and walking, Frontrunners provides an opportunity for members to get to know other GLBTS people who share an interest in running and walking. Social and community service activities are held throughout the year. Members receive up to date information on events and news of the club through regular publications of the newsletter, calendar of events and the membership directory. By voting, joining committees, providing ideas, and becoming officers, members continue to contribute to the success of Frontrunners. On the "First Saturday" of every month, we meet at various locations around St. Louis. The "First Saturday" location and breakfast spot will be posted on the calendar and communicated to the members. If a different location is not scheduled, Frontrunners will meet at the usual spot in Forest Park, in front of the new Welcome Center (Previously known as Lindell Pavillion). In addition to our regular runs/walks, Saint Louis Frontrunners and its members host several social activities throughout the year. We also participate in various service activities to benefit the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Straight Allied community. If you have a suggestion for a Frontrunner activity or a new place for Frontrunners to explore on a "First Saturday" run/walk, just let one of the officers know. New ideas are always welcome!
